On Friday, February 5th, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a ruling allowing churches in California to open immediately for in-person worship. You can read Bishop Jaime Soto's statement on the ruling
here.
With great joy, St. Rose of Lima will re-open it's doors for in-person Masses beginning with the 7:30 AM Mass on Monday, February 8th.
For the time being, we are limited to a 25% capacity (up to 200 people under the CDC recommended social distancing guidelines), but reservations are not currently required. Parishioners will be able to check themselves in for Mass at the side entrance door by the parish office and sit in a designated area of the church. Masks and social distancing are required. If you feel well and are comfortable joining us indoors, we welcome you to attend!
On Sundays, a table will be outdoors by the ramp entrance closest to the parish office and greeters will be available to assist you with the self check-in process. Please arrive 30 minutes early to allow enough time to get checked in and settled before Mass begins.
We will also continue airing the Sunday Masses on FM 107.9, for those who would prefer to stay in their cars and listen to the Mass from the parking lot.
The Sunday Mass Schedule is as follows:
Saturday Vigils 4:30 PM (English) and 6:30 PM (Spanish)
Sunday 9:00 AM (English) and 12:00 PM (Spanish)
For now, we will continue to distribute Holy Communion between 10:30-11 AM and 1:30-2 PM on Sundays for those that choose to view the Mass on livestream.
Weekday Masses will continue to be livestreamed Monday-Friday at 7:30 AM (English) and Wednesday at 6:30 PM (Spanish).
We are grateful for the Supreme Court's decision and are greatly looking forward to worshipping with you in person once again!
