An open letter to all high school teens:
Hey. How are ya? Busy, I’m sure. Between school, extracurricular activities, maybe a part-time job, you don’t have too much time. I get it. I’m not trying to add one more thing to your plate or stress you out, but we have a really great thing here at St. Rose and I want to personally invite you to join.
Have you heard of Life Teen? It’s your youth group. We meet on Sunday evenings after the 5:00 Mass. We feed you dinner and teach you a little about Jesus and His Church. We go on retreats and to conferences (one in particular, to Six Flags Magic Mountain!), we bowl and play kickball, we work with other ministries here at SRL and do service projects within the community. And that’s just a small snapshot of our Life Teen program. Here’s a very basic rundown of what we teach and why we do what we do:
Through the Sacraments, through prayer and fellowship, through service and retreats and mission trips, Life Teen exists to bring you into relationship with the One who gave everything for love of you. Our goal is simple: leading you closer to Christ to raise up a new generation of saints. This world needs Christ. You need Christ. I need Christ. It starts here. Now, I know some of you may be thinking, “A youth group, really? That sounds so lame.” It’s really not, I promise. I can give you references. So, give it a shot! You have absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain!
Registration is required for the Life Teen program.
